Fuel Antioxidants
AO-22: N,N’-di-sec-butyl-p-phenylenediamine. Readily soluble in gasoline in all proportions. Use: Retards
formation of gum and extends induction period of gasoline. Treat rate: 3 – 45 mg/l.
AOF-29: 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol. A light coloured, fi nely divided solid; non-colouring and readily
soluble in fuels. Use: In jet fuels and gasolines, to retard oxidation and in gasolines to reduce gum formati-
on. Treat rate: 5 – 60 mg/l.
AO-30, AO-31, AO-32, 100 % alkylated phenols, principally 2,4-dimethyl-6-tert-butylphenol. Straw
coloured liquids readily soluble in fuels Use: In jet fuel and gasoline, to retard oxidation, and in gasoline to
reduce gum formation. Treat rate: 3 – 30 mg/l.
AO-80: 100 % alkylated phenols, principally 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol. An amber liquid readily soluble in
fuels. Use: In jet fuels and gasoline, to retard oxidation and reduce gum formation. Widely approved for
aviation fuels. Treat rate: 3 – 30 mg/l.
AO-85, AO-87, A0-88: 100% alkylated phenol 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol dilutions available in high and low
fl ash solvents Treat rate: 6 – 120 mg/l Product dependant.
DGS-108, DGS-109: Synergistic blends of hindered phenol and phenylenediamine antioxidants. Show
excellent low temperature handling properties. Use: In gasoline to retard oxidation, reduce gum formation
and extend induction period. Treat rate: 5 – 45 mg/l.
Monoacid Lubricity Improvers
OLI-5000, OLI-5500, OLI-8000 series: A range of non-interacting lubricity additives containing varying
amounts of solvent for improved low temperature handling. Use: In automotive diesel and other middle
distillates to provide lubricity improvement and prevent wear of diesel pumps. Treat rate: 50 – 200 mg/l.
Ester Lubricity Improvers
OLI-9900, OLI-9000 series: A range of non-acid lubricity additives containing varying amounts of
solvent to achieve required viscosity characteristics. Use: In automotive diesel and other middle distillates
to provide lubricity improvement and prevent wear of diesel fuel pumps. Treat rate: 50 – 200 mg/l.
Products are also available as multifunctional packages in diluted versions of the monoacid and ester che-
mistry incorporating the benefi ts of antistatic dissipater, antioxidant and cold fl ow improvers to suit custo-
mer requirements on demand.
Fuel Conductivity Improvers
Stadis® 425: Non-metallic, low viscosity, amber liquid conductivity improver. Use: Improves conductivity
to reduce electrostatic hazards during transfer of distillate fuels. Treat rate: 0.5 – 5 mg/l.
Stadis® 450: Non-metallic, low viscosity, amber liquid conductivity improver. Use: Improves conductivity
to reduce electrostatic hazards during transfer of distillate and jet fuels. Complete worldwide approval for
jet fuels. Treat rate: 0.5 – 5 mg/l.
Fuel Corrosion Inhibitors
DCI-4A: A corrosion inhibitor lubricity additive for aviation and motor gasolines, jet fuels and other distillate
fuels. Widely approved and preferred for use in jet fuels. Amber liquid. Treat rate: 6 – 22 mg/l.
DCI-6A: A corrosion inhibitor for motor gasoline and distillate fuels. Widely approved for use in jet fuel.
Particularly effective in pipeline applications. Amber liquid. Treat rate: 3 – 12 mg/l.
DCI-11: Corrosion inhibitor for gasolines containing oxygenates and for use in alcohols. Amber liquid.
Treat rate: Preferably added to the alcohol to provide 6 – 9 mg/l in the fi nished gasoline/oxygenate blend.
DCI-35: Filming additive designed to inhibit corrosion of non-ferrous material by sulphur containing corro-
dants and H2S and mercaptans. Amber liquid. Treat rate: 5 – 78 ppm.
Middle Distillate Stabilisers
FOA-3: A complex amine. Clear, straw coloured liquid. Use: Ashless antioxidant and colour stabiliser for
diesel fuel and other middle distillates. Broader properties obtained by blending with metal deactivator and
dispersant. Treat rate: 5 – 60 mg/l.
FOA-5: An advanced dispersant. Viscous, Amber, ashless liquid in xylene. Use: Retards formation of inso-
lubles and disperses sludge in diesel fuels and other middle distillates. Treat rate: 10 – 60 mg/l.
FOA-6: An advanced liquid antioxidant and colour stabiliser for middle distillates. Not for use in the EU.
Treat rate: 3 – 40 mg/l.
FOA-31A: Package of stabilisers, dispersants, metal deactivator and dehazer. Use: Provides enhanced sta-
bility to diesel fuel and other middle distillates, controlling colour, gum and sediment formation. Particularly
suited to long term storage of fuels. Treat rate: 15 – 85 mg/l.
FOA-5840: Various combinations of stabilisers, dispersants and metal deactivator. Use: Enhances storage
stability of middle distillates. Particularly effective against metal and UV-light initiated instability.
Treat Rate: 20 – 100 mg/l.
FOA-8106: Stabiliser dispersant package. Amber liquid. Use: Ashless stabiliser for diesel fuel and other
middle distillates. Minimises colour and sediment formation in the fuel. Treat rate: 15 – 120 mg/l.
Fuel System Icing Inhibitors
FSII-41: Di Ethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether (DiEGME) including approved antioxidant. Clear colourless
liquid. Use: Fuel system icing inhibitor is an aviation fuel additive. Treat rate: Governed by fuel specifi ca-
tions 0.10 to 0.15% volume.
Dehazers
DH-725: Dehaze agent for breaking water/oil emulsions in middle distillates. Treat rate: 10 – 30 mg/l.

Hydrogen Sulphide Scavengers
SulfurPurge™: Water based H 2 S scavenger family of products for use in middle distillates and residual
fuels. Treat rate: Varies depending upon the selected grade and H 2 S level to be treated.
SulfurPurge™ FM: aldehyde based H 2 S scavenger which is nitrogen free, ideal for use in petrochemical
naphtha to avoid problem in industrial processing. Treat rate: Varies depending upon the operating condi-
tions and H 2 S level to be treated.
SulfurPurge™ HC: Oil soluble H 2 S scavenger family of products for use in distillate and residual fuels.
Treat rate: Varies depending upon the selected grade and H 2 S level to be treated.
SulfurPurge™ HT: Oil soluble H 2 S scavenger for use in High Temperature fl uids such as Bitumen.
Treat rate: Varies depending upon the operating conditions and H 2 S level to be treated.
Cold Flow Improvers
OFI 7000 Series: Low molecular weight ester copolymers in a hydrocarbon solvent. High viscous liquid
at room temperature. Use: Reduces the CFPP and pour point of diesel and other light distillate products.
Treat rate: 50 – 750 mg/kg.
OFI 5000 Series: Low molecular weight polymers in a hydrocarbon solvent. Use: Wax anti-settling
additives for middle distillates. Treat rate: 150 – 250 mg/kg.
OFI 8000 Series: Mix of low molecular weight polymers in a hydrocarbon solvent. Low viscous liquid at
25°C. Use: Wax anti settling cold fl ow improvers (WAFI) to reduce sediment and the CFPP and pour point
of automotive diesel and other light distillate products. Treat rate: 50 – 750 mg/kg.
OFI 3000 Series: Different ester copolymers in a hydrocarbon solvent. Highly viscous liquid at room
temperature. Use: Reduces the pour point of heavy fuel oil, marine distillates and crude oil. Treat rate:
100 – 2000 mg/kg.
OFI 6000 Series: Low molecular weight polymers in a hydrocarbon solvent. Use: Reduces the cloud
point of diesel and gas oils. Treat rate: 250 – 1000 mg/kg.
Additives for Renewable Fuels
BioStable™ 101: Stabiliser package for alcohols and alcohol based fuels providing control over pHe and
corrosivity. Treat rate: preferably added to the alcohol to provide 6 – 12 mg/l in the fi nished gasoline / oxy-
genate blend.
BioStable™ 150: Solubility improver suitable for ethanol/gasoline blends containing up to 10% ethanol.
Treat rate: 3% in the fuel blend.
BioStable™ 225: Stabiliser package for improving the quality, and storage stability of neat biofuels and
blended diesel fuel containing bio-components. Inhibits fuel oxidation, gum and peroxide formation.
Treat rate: 30 – 1000 mg/l.
BioStable™ 230: Stabiliser package for improving the quality, and storage stability of neat biofuels B100
and blended diesel fuel containing biocomponents. Inhibits fuel oxidation, gum and peroxide formation.
Treat rate: 30 – 3000 mg/l.
BioStable™ 322: Stabiliser package for improving the quality, maintaining the octane rating and controlling
the formation of peroxides in ETBE. Treat rate: 30 – 50 mg/l.
BioStable™ 403E: Stabiliser package for improving the quality of Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME). Allows
biofuel producer to meet specifi cation and protects against product deterioration in storage. Treat rate: 100
– 1000 mg/l.
BioStable™ 600: Stabiliser package for improving the quality, and storage stability of neat biofuels B100
and blended diesel fuel containing bio components. Inhibits fuel oxidation, gum and peroxide formation.
Treat rate: 75 – 500 mg/l.
BioStable™ 8006: Advanced Polymeric Stabiliser and dispersant package in High Flash aromatic solvent
for improving the quality, and storage stability of neat biofuels, FAME and blended diesel fuel containing
bio components. Treat rate: 50 – 150 mg/l.
BioStable™ E85 G-Plus: E85 additive. A blend of pH stabilisers, corrosion inhibitors and lubricity additi-
ves to maintain fuel quality and provide protection to vehicle fuel systems. Treat rate: 350 mg/l.
BioStable™ E95 D-Plus: E95 (95 % ethanol fuel for diesel engines) additive. A unique formulation of
pH stabilisers, corrosion inhibitors, lubricity additive and cetane number improver designed to improve fuel
quality and provide protection to vehicle fuel systems. Treat rate: 3 % of fi nished fuel.Biocides
Predator™ Biocides: A range of biocides, BPR compliant, that provide protection from microbial conta-
mination of gasoline, middle distillates, Biodiesel and residual fuels. Effective against bacteria, mould and
yeasts. Can be used to kill existing microbial contamination.
Predator™ 1000: Glutaraldehyde based series of biocide Treat rate: 50 – 1000 mg/l in dependence of
the type of treatment (curative/preservative).
Predator™ 5000: MBO based series of biocide compatible with the majority of the packages. Treat rate:
50 – 1000 mg/l in dependence of the type of treatment (curative/preservative).
Predator™ 8000: CMIT/MIT based series of biocide, ideal for Fuel Storage applications.
Treat rate: 100 – 1000 mg/l in dependence of the type of treatment (curative/preservative).
Dyes and Markers
Innospec can supply a wide range of individual dye chemistries meeting most national and company spe-
cifi cations. Innospec can also supply a number of fi scal marker dyes and packages.
Cetane Number Improvers
CI-0801: 2-ethylhexyl nitrate. Clear to pale yellow liquid of low viscosity, which blends readily into diesel
fuel. Use: Provides refi neries with an economic means of improving the cetane number of diesel fuels.
Treat rate: Varies, depending on the cetane number increase required and base fuel properties.
Metal Deactivators
DMD: A 75 % solution of N,N’-disalicylidene-1,2-propanediamine. Amber liquid. Seeded crystallisation
temp +16°C. Use: Metal deactivator for improving storage and colour stability of petroleum distillates. Parti-
cularly useful in jet fuel to improve JFTOT performance. Treat rate: Varies widely with application.
DMD-40: A 40 % solution of N,N’-disalicylidene-1,2-propanediamine with a crystallisation temperature of
< -5°C. Use: As DMD. Treat rate: Varies widely with application.
Octane Number Improvers
PLUTOcen® GP: A solid, iron based anti-knock additive to be used with PLUTOsol ATK co-additive
Use: Improves octane number. Treat rate: 30 mg/l.
PLUTOcen®GS 2300i: A liquid, iron based anti-knock additive. Use: Octane improver ready for dosing
directly into gasoline. Treat rate: 300 – 900 mg/l.
Octaburn™ 8000 Series: A liquid, manganese based anti-knock additive. Use: Octane improver ready for
dosing directly into gasoline. 15 – 24,5 % Manganese content. Treat rate: 8 – 18 mg/l.
IOB 3000: A liquid, organic anti-knock additive. Use: Octane improver ready for dosing directly into gaso-
line. Treat rate: 0.5 – 1.5 % w/w.
Liquid Yield Improvers
Maxiconv™ 3000: A specially formulated multifunctional additive package enhances liquid yields of high
added value products in secondary process units.
Maxiconv™ 5000 Series: A specially tailored stabiliser & dispersant product line designed to enhance
liquid yields of high added value products in secondary process units. Treat rate: 10 – 100 mg/l.
Valve Seat Recession (VSR) Additives
Octimise™ V 4000 Series: An organic solution of a carbonic acid for use in liquifi ed petroleum gas (LPG)
to protect against exhaust valve seat recession (VSR) in vehicles which are designed to run on LPG.
Treat rate: 145 – 220 mg/kg.
